The Vision

Kingdom Poetry is a site dedicated and designed to introduce the visitor to the heart of the heavenly Designer. Here at KPL we use words to bring glory to The Word. You see, In the beginning was The Word, and The Word was with God and The Word was God. So why not put words together that will reveal the greatness of The Word? Although impossible for any human to conceive any combination of words that can adequately describe the true splendor of The Word, we do have the ability to at least try. May these words bring glory to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, Jesus The Christ.

John 1:1-5

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

Bio

I will tell you a little about myself for the sole purpose of bringing glory to my Savior, Jesus Christ. I lived most of my life as a sinner destined to spend eternity away from Christ in a place the Bible calls the lake of Fire.

When I was 35 I found myself desperate for a love that I had never personally felt but would hear about often from my mother who had already tasted of the goodness of Jesus. On August 18th 2015 I asked Jesus to enter into my heart. He immediately obliged my genuine request for salvation and filled me with a divine love and unspeakable joy that can only be provided by God Himself.

Approximately one year after surrendering my life to Jesus, I became extremely eager to fulfill the plans which were carved out for me since before the beginning of time. After much prayer, the Lord graciously used a brother in Christ, who at that time was a complete stranger, to tell me that God wanted me to write. With no background in poetry or writing in general, I sat down at my dining room table and wrote the first of many poetry pieces the Holy Spirit would inspire. My sincere hope is to use these words as vessels to bring people to know who Jesus is and what Jesus desires for them individually.

Years later I find myself still a sinner. However, there is one eternal difference, I am now a sinner who is saved by grace through faith in Jesus the Christ. I now know that I will spend eternity WITH the lover of my soul and NOT without Him. To God be all the glory and honor and praise.
